Matthew Butler works with low-cost 3D printing and electronics technologies, to produce interactive accessible learning objects for the vision impaired community. Additionally, his research seeks to enhance teaching and learning in computer science education, including the use of learning analytics and emerging technologies to improve student engagement.
Matthew a researcher in the Inclusive Technologies research group, working in accessibility. He is also currently Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) for the Faculty of Information Technology, where he previously led the Games Development major within the Bachelor of Information Technology and taught Game Design & Development and C++ Programming.
