Science Communicator, NESP Northern Australia Hub
Jane Thomas joined the Northern Australia Hub as the science communicator in 2017, moving to Darwin after more than a decade working in the USA. Her role at the Hub is tasked with delivering applied science outcomes to inform policy and planning. On any given day, she can be found engaging stakeholders, consulting research users, designing conceptual diagrams, writing articles, and planning events. She loves northern Australia for its spectacular natural environment and extraordinary culture. A marine biologist at heart, she even loves the large scaly reptiles that prevent her from snorkelling on the coral and seagrass beds of the Timor Sea.
