ASC conferences and events would not be possible without pro-active and valuable contributions from volunteering members across the nation.

The volunteer program is for those who’d like to become more involved in the science communication community and/or bring the cost of conference attendance down. Previous volunteers have included career-changers, students, small business owners and more.

All kinds of skills and support are welcome in the lead up to the event so if you are thinking about a career change and wish to become more active in the network, and/or have more time than money right now and don’t want to miss your conference fix this may be of interest.

Positions are available for conference crew (complimentary full conference attendance in exchange for support in the leadup and onsite at the conference) and conference support (discounted attendance in exchange for specific support in the lead up to the conference). If you have plenty of event/marketing/sponsorship/management experience we’d also welcome your application for a volunteer supervisor position.
