Nisha is currently working towards her PhD in chemistry at The University of Sydney. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Advanced with Honours degree from Monash University, working for Professor David Lupton in 2016. After this, she spent a short time working on a synthetic organic research project with Professor Michael Sherburn at the Australian National University. In 2017 Nisha worked with a team of scientists at CSIRO Clayton on a range of medicinal chemistry projects before beginning her PhD in organic chemistry/chemical biology with Professor Richard Payne in 2018. As well as her research, Nisha has a passion for communicating and discussing the frontiers of science, regularly writing articles for the student newspaper Honi Soit, as well as posts for the popular chemistry blog site Chembites. Nisha is currently working towards developing a strong community of young science communicators within The University of Sydney.
