Ken Harvey

Associate Professor, Monash University, Friends of Science in Medicine

Associate Professor Ken Harvey, works as Associate Professor at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, is a public health physician, and President of Friends of Science in Medicine.Ken was a member of the expert group that drafted the World Health Organization “Ethical Criteria for Medicinal Drug Promotion” and also the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Health and Rational use of Medicines (PHARM) Committee that formulated the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) pillar of Australian medicines policy. Ken has been awarded life membership of Choice (the Australia Consumer’s Association) for services to the consumer movement and the 2016 ANZAAS Medal for contribution to science which go beyond normal professional activities.
